A new collection from one of our favorite lust-worthy brands is always exciting. But one for Target, that starts at $1.99? Beyond.
There are two camps of John Derian fans -- the collectors and the gazers. Collectors have coffee tables filled with his thought-provoking trays and walls adorned with the vintage-style decoupage. Gazers? They just enjoy seeing his wares on magazine pages and in store windows.
But when John Derian for Target launched in 2008, the game changed: Suddenly the gazers were able to scoop up pieces (multiple pieces!) of the line and display them proudly. And upon the launch of this year's collection for Target, we have a first look at the goods. They're bold, sophisticated, full of surprises and each piece rings in at under $25 -- or, in terms of John Derian prices, one glass coaster. We're hoping your second look will be on the shelves of your local Target on September 5, where you can snap some up for your own personal third look: In your own home.
The collection has 100 pieces, but we're spotlighting 13 of our favorites. Take a look and start plotting your shopping list early!

I agree what a bunch of crap!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyYuck...I wouldn't waste my money on that!
ReplyYou must be a Big Lot and Dollar Store shopper!
ReplyCCinRI....
ReplyLOL! Totally agree.
Yawn. Won't waste my money here. Especially since they support politicos who think the minimum wage should be done away with.
ReplyPretty faithful customer who has just given all my business elsewhere. I don't want my dollars going to such extreme points of view. I guess Target's CEO missed the part where Jesus NEVER was on the side of the Pharisees.
ReplyUgly! Guess I'll head to Bed, Bath and Beyond for household items from now on.
Replyi don't see anything here that has a purpose except maybe to collect dust . it looks like leftover garage sale junk
ReplyLet me get this striaght....a huge ladybug on a plate is sophisticated?
ReplyUgh !
No more shopping Target since they donated to the anti-gay politicians fundraising efforts.
ReplySadly disappointed. I have always enjoyed their home collections. This is very different and seems to be targeted at a small demographic. I hope they did their homework. I'll be looking elsewhere for home accessories.
ReplyDidn't like Target when they wouldn't let the Salvation Army Bell Ringers stand in front of their store and after looking at the new home collection, I haven't missed anything. Didn't like them then and do not like them now.
ReplyI could care less how many lines Target adopts from this point on. It didn't bother me they donated to a political cause to advance their own cause. However when they knuckled under to apologize to the Gay Party as far as I'm concerned and a lot of the people I know they signed their own death warrant. None of us will ever spend another penny in a Target store. When anyone gives in to such blatant hipocrisy as we just observed from the Gay people and Targets dipping to an all time low to aopolgize for something they have every right to do it makes me want to vomnit. I had it up to my ears with the minorities being able to dictate what the majority can and cannot do. I'm for a new ammendment to the Consitution removing all lifetime appointments of all Judges including the United States Suupreme Court if this is what is necessary for the majority of us to get our country back.
ReplyI wouldn't buy any of these items particularly, but I'll still be a loyal Target shopper. They usually have pretty cool things and the prices are really good.
ReplyThi s new line is just CREEPY.
Replyeating on a plate with bugs on it??? seriously target???
ReplyI do love John Derian, but I'm boycotting Target.... for, like, ever.
ReplyHis style may not be for everyone but it's sophisticated, wordly and luxurious. I'm so excited he's bringing another collection to Target! I was just in his New England store last week and trust me -the price points are high. Target is John Derian charm for everyone!
ReplyI absolutely love this line. It just takes creativity to make it blend. It is different than anything else, you just need a little imagination.
ReplyI think people should lighten up a little.sure it"s not for everyone.but it art.
