Is your home scrubbed top-to-bottom or does a swipe-of-the-hand dusting cut it?

We all have different concepts of what's really clean. For some, a good clean involves a weekend's worth of to-do lists, buckets of cleaning tools and toothbrush-scrubbed crevices. For others, it means simply tucking loose items under the bed and giving a quick dust with an old sock. Where do you fall on the scrubbing spectrum. Take this quiz to find out.

A lot of the questions do not pertain. I do not have pets. I keep the clutter to a minimum. I have been using cleaning products that come from Amway, If they did a poor job I can send them back. Amway was the first at concentration. They ship only soap not filler and water. They are evnoronmentally compatable. The stuff you buy in stores may be inexpensive, but at what cost.

As for physical cleaning, the floors are not garbage cans. If people drop things and do not pick them up and ants and other smells and issues occur would in not have been better to chase that dropped item under the fridge or stove before it started smelling and growing hair?

As for the towels, even the hotels think every day is too much, but should it smell before you change it? If you wipe yourself with a smelly towel you smell, why take a shower if you will just smell anyway?

Is their no logic left or has lazy taken over?

The choices for responses were skewed to point everyone in the direction of being a slob. My wife and I clean our floors daily and change our towels every three days - bath towels daily. There was no opportunity to state that making me respond as the writer desired. Very unscientific and unprofessional.

They don't give you option, use and wash! My family and I wash towels daily after "one" use! That is just nasty to reuse a towel!

Growing up in a family of 2 parents and 8 children, we always tossed our used towel into the hamper. Then, one day, when I was about 12 years old, my mother had had enough. She installed towel racks on everyone's bedroom door and we washed our towels once a week. Oh, and we were all, boys and girls, taught how to use a washer and dryer!

You're right this is a stupid quiz! But then obviously not a lot of folks need (or desire) a quiz to know what kind of housekeeper they are! I'm not a "neat freak" but not a "total slob" either. My house has always been "lived in" even now in retirement, it's still lived in, in every corner.

I agree, dumb quiz. I also wash them every day. You are only as clean as the towel you use.

  • Helen

I didn't take the quiz because the first question didn't have the option of "never reusing a bath towel". I figured the other questions would be just as ridiculous. Why would I use a wet and/or dirty towel when I can have a fresh clean one every time? I can't bring myself to dry my face with a towel that someone else has dried their ass with!

I don't even want to reuse a towel that I dried MY clean freshly showered ass with

i will not reuse a bath towel....good grief....most of us have washers and dryers.....i make everyone take their towel to the wash room and we do a load every other day......
