If I could trade places with anyone, it wouldn't be designer/leader of the "happy chic" movement Jonathan Adler or his husband, author/Creative Ambassador-at-Large of Barney's Simon Doonan. No, it would be their dog, Liberace. Because he gets to live with both of these guys. And perhaps more exciting: He gets to live in this place.

Our friends at The Coveteur are running the full Adler/Doonan tour on Monday and because they know I can hardly wait, they've so kindly shared these nine gallery with us. Scroll through them out, drool over them, then head to The Coveteur on Monday for the full piece, including Adler and Doonan's terrific quotes (personally I can't wait to see what the guys have to say about that rainbow-colored gun!).

If you like a lot of clutter sitting around and collecting dust then these designers' house is the place to be !!!
ReplyMeaningless and stupid. Cluttered, too, of course. But then, isn't that the definition of clutter--too many things out of place? Yes, there is such a thing as a "proper" place. I'm all for a sense of whimsy or having one fantasy/statement piece or bold, brazen focal point in a room--if that's your "thing." But, an assault on the eye with absolutely no purpose? Well, stupid, as I said above. Perhaps childish would be a better assessment--like the decorating attempts of someone whose aesthetic sensibilities have yet to to develop, someone whose "vision" demonstrates a lack of artistic integrity.
ReplyThey have the exact same shoes, but arranged differently. I think their house is cluttered.
