I'm assuming the following products would agree, as Good Housekeeping recently released a list of seven beauty and cleaning products that earned the first ever Green Good Housekeeping Seal (GGHS). Boasting nearly 18 months of research, the GGHS was designed to protect consumers from false environmental claims.

You know the commercials: the lab puppy, the bear family in the woods and the lady with the giant robe. They're all trying to sell us the same thing -- toilet paper -- but they don't have to work that hard to get us to choose the plush, 2- and 3-ply paper. Nobody likes that hotel sandpaper stuff.

Chores Made Easy: Eco-Friendly Sponges

Twist, a company that launched in 2007, is leading the pack with a whole line of sponges, scrubbers and cloths. The products are made from biodegradable materials, and as an added bonus, these products are all great-looking in addition to being earth-friendly. I also love that Twist's packaging can be recycled into bird feeders -- How neat is that?
