Far-Flung Friday: York House is Pretty in Portugal

Until now. The York House in Lisboa, Portugal has changed my views -- one lovingly decorated room at a time. With modern, crisp furnishings and an incredible scenic exterior, the York House has had my heart going pitter-pattering for Portugal since, ohhhh...9am this morning. Once a former convent, the York House became a hotel in early 1880. Of course, the "hotel" housed one small oven and offered a spare bedroom for rent. Almost 130 years later, the York House has come a long way, baby.

Brazilian Beachside Box House

Named the "Paraty House" after the city in Brazil where it's located, this home by Marcio Kogan Architects reflects the beautiful natural surroundings and coastal climate.
