Last Minute Halloween Crafts: A Freaky Fruit Bowl

To make this yourself, you'll need a collection of fake fruit (I picked mine up at the craft store), a can of black paint and a can of spray paint primer. I recommend starting with a spray primer so the paint will adhere to the fruit better. Then simply spray paint your faux fruits black. Also, be sure to work in a well-ventilated space and protect your surround surfaces with newspaper or a drop cloth while spray painting. Presto: The creepiest fruit bowl you ever saw!

Halloween Crafts: Jack-O'-Lantern Creepy Enough for Tim Burton

I took my inspiration from Jack Skellington, the clay-mation hero of The Nightmare Before Christmas. To create a King of Halloween lookalike, I chose a white pumpkin and created a face design that mimicked the original Jack. You can draw your own Jack Skellington freehand or borrow our downloadable template, just be sure to re-size the image to your pumpkin.
