Inspired by fellow knitter Margaret Wertheim's recent TED discussion on crocheting the coral reef, Pokorny set out to complete a lofty goal: the creation of a 100% self-supporting, hand-felted yurt (portable, felt-covered, wood lattice-framed dwelling structure).
