Barbra Streisand Puts Her Antiques Up for Auction

Make room for Barbra Streisand, or her antiques, that is. The design-loving diva is auctioning off about 500 pieces from her personal collection of antiques and collectibles. Did you know she was so into interior design? Me neither. (She's writing a book about decorating her Malibu home.) The auction will take place October 17th and 18th at Julien's Auctions and will benefit the Streisand Foundation, a nonprofit that supports environmental and women's health programs.

Southern Living recently underwent a much needed overhaul, including a redesign and brand new content. When I got my hands on a copy of the debut October issue, I couldn't help but spend some time checking out the new columns, features and design. One article really struck me: "What We Did With The Bishop's House," which tells the story of a house overhaul inspired by a child's drawing.
