Easy (and Super Cheap) DIY: Table Transformation

The accent table shown here came into my life during a recent afternoon walk in my neighborhood. A kind woman was tossing it to the curb because it was tired and worn and she no longer had the space for it. The sad table faced a sure fate of a lonely lifetime in the New York City trash piles, but all it needed was a little TLC to bring it back to life.

The last time I talked about my table and bench set makeover, I told you that I was thinking about swapping out the fabric. I had gone to B&J Fabrics, one of my favorite fabric shops in New York, and cut swatches for possible patterns. I posted them online for you to vote on. I laid them out, thought about them, pinned them up on my bulletin board and didn't make up my mind. This is typical Laura, by the way.
